Outdoor Kitchens
When we design outdoor kitchens, we plan carefully to ensure that our materials, layouts, and joinery withstand ongoing exposure to the weather. We use water-resistant cabinetry, durable benchtops and outdoor-rated appliances, supported by accurate measurements and suitable material selection for areas exposed to sunlight, moisture or temperature changes. Our planning also considers access to power, water and gas, along with appropriate drainage and compliance with relevant safety standards. If you're considering an outdoor kitchen for your home, get in touch, and we'll walk you through the next steps.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What should homeowners consider when choosing materials for their kitchen?
Material selection should take into account durability, maintenance requirements, and how the space will be used on a day-to-day basis. Surfaces like benchtops, cabinetry and splashbacks all have varying levels of resilience against heat, moisture and impact. Some materials may be better suited to high-use areas, while others are chosen for visual appeal or design cohesion. It’s also helpful to consider long-term practicality, such as how easily materials can be cleaned and maintained. Reviewing samples and discussing performance characteristics helps ensure choices align with the intended purpose of the space.
How does layout planning influence the functionality of a new kitchen?
The way a kitchen is arranged affects movement, workflow and how comfortably the space can be used. Layout planning involves considering the distance between key areas, such as cooking, cleaning and food preparation zones. Storage placement, appliance positioning and available workspace all play a role in shaping the final design. A well-planned layout takes into account the household’s daily routines and the physical dimensions of the room. This stage helps ensure the completed kitchen supports efficient and practical everyday use.
What level of preparation is needed before a kitchen renovation begins?
Preparation usually starts with clearing existing contents from cabinets, benchtops and adjoining areas. Depending on the project, temporary adjustments may be needed for access to power, water or appliances during the renovation period. Some homeowners opt to set up a temporary cooking area elsewhere in the home to minimise disruption. If structural changes are planned, preliminary assessments may be required to understand the existing conditions. Clear communication and planning help make the transition into renovation smoother and more organised.
How much does it cost to do a kitchen?
The cost of a kitchen varies depending on the size of the space, the materials and finishes you choose, and the level of customisation involved. Every kitchen is different, so pricing is based on your specific layout, design, and selections rather than a standard package. After a site visit, we provide a detailed quote—usually within 24 hours—so you know exactly what’s included and where your investment is going. This allows us to tailor a solution that suits both your needs and your budget.
How long can it take from quoting a design to installing it?
Every kitchen is a little different, but as a guide, most projects follow this timeline:
Initial enquiry: Get in touch and we’ll talk through your ideas.
Site visit: We book a time to visit your home and discuss your layout, style, and requirements in detail.
Detailed quote: A comprehensive quote is usually prepared within 24 hours of the site visit.
Pre-production stage (4–6 weeks): Once the quote is accepted, we move into detailed computer-aided shop drawings, confirm colours, and finalise hardware and material selections.
Production & installation (around 4 weeks): After the design is signed off, your kitchen is built in our workshop. Depending on the scope of the project, manufacturing and installation can typically be completed within four weeks. From accepting the quote to installation, most kitchens are completed within 8–10 weeks, with clear communication at every stage so you know exactly what to expect.
